FAQs

Since accessories are small, can I store them all in one bag?

No, store accessories individually and separately. Accessories are often high-contact points, increasing the risk of color migration (if colors are contrasting) and abrasion. Each item (gloves, socks, collars) must be powdered/polished and placed in its own individual, dark/opaque plastic bag to prevent contact with other latex or colored items.

What is the most important factor when choosing the size for small accessories like gloves or socks?

Girth measurement is crucial. For accessories, the length is less critical than the circumference (girth). Measure the widest part of your hand (excluding the thumb) for gloves, or the calf and foot circumference for socks. Selecting a size too small vertically risks tears at the cuff/opening.

How do I prevent metal buckles, studs, or rings on collars or belts from staining the latex?

Isolate all metal before storage. Metal hardware can cause permanent brown or green chemical stains. After washing and drying, ensure all metal is completely wrapped with acid-free tissue paper or a small piece of cling film before the accessory is placed into its storage bag.

How should I clean and dry small accessories that have been in heavy contact (e.g., long gloves)?

Thorough rinse and inside-out drying. Hand wash immediately in lukewarm water with a mild latex cleaner. The interior of gloves and socks must be thoroughly rinsed to remove sweat and oils. Turn them inside-out to air dry in a dark place, then turn them right-side-out again for final drying/polishing.
